Strategic Planning
Malaga was one of the pioneering cities in the use of Strategic Planning as a city management tool. The current Second Malaga Strategic Plan and the Malaga 2020 Strategy are marked by key elements such as globalisation, governance, sustainability and people as the centre of all activity; and are the result of the revision process and reformulation that the city has been carrying out since 1992.
The experience of working together in these more than 20 years of strategic planning allows Malaga to continue growing and improving in an international scene of uncertainty and rapid change.
That is why this experience has made it a national and international reference, assuming the active presence of Malaga in networks of cities at a national and international level, among which the Centro Iberamericano para el desarrollo estratégico urbano (CIDEU) (Ibero-American Centre for Strategic Urban Development), América y Europa de Ciudades y Regiones (AERYC) (America and Europe of Cities and Regions) or the Red Andaluza para el Desarrollo Estratégico Urbano y Territorial (RADEUT) (Andalusian Network for Strategic Urban and Territorial Development) or Medcities stand out.
